Heater for reptiles

Warm filtered air produced by the heater for reptiles will gently heat a selected area of the pets enclosure.
Filtering the air will help in preventing the spread of contaminants that can be found in reptile enclosures.

The heater has built in weather proofing that allows the reptile owner to clean out the pets enclosure without having to remove the heater.
Rain will not affect the operation of the heater. It may be used exposed to all weather conditions.

There are no sharp corner or edges that may injure your pet and the heater for reptiles is rust proof. A transformer or battery (not supplied) can be used to safely operate the reptile heater in all weather conditions. The heater can be built into the reptiles enclosure walls or used free standing.

Warming reptiles

The reptile heater has been designed to gently blow warm air into a small area that your pet enjoys to bask in. It can safely operate in close proximity to the reptiles body warming the reptile without causing burns.

All exposed areas of the reptile heater shell will only reach a warm temperature that may be safely touched by the reptile.
The reptile may even bask against the warm sides of the heater.

If the filtered warm air that is blown from the front of the heater should accidentally become blocked, an automatic safety switch will stop the reptile heater before it reaches a potentially dangerous high temperature.
The heater used for warming reptiles will automatically restart when the obstruction is removed.

The reptile heater is also fitted with a replaceable overload safety fuse. This additional safety feature will protect the heater and your pet from electrical surges.

The air filter can be washed in water and reused countless times.
No tools are required to remove the filter or replace any blown electrical fuse.

All controls for the heater are enclosed to prevent accidental altering of your preferred heater setting.

The heater will operate in any position and will continue to operate safely even when accidentally knocked over.

Heating for reptiles

Heating for reptiles can be achieved by reptile heaters, hot rocks and heat lamps. The reptile heaters that use a heat lamp do not produce the Ultra violet light bands that are required by most reptiles.

Reptile lighting Ultra Violet lighting

Reptile lights and heating are important for the correct digestion of food and general well being of the reptile. Ultra Violet lighting often called UV lighting or uv lights are required to supply the light source ultraviolet a ( UVA ) and ultra violet b ( UVB ). The fluorescent lighting can be in spiral form or tube.

A lot of fluorescent tubes that are used as fish tank lights are not suitable for a reptiles enclosure. The flouro tubes do not produce the light waves of Ultra Violet A and Ultra Violet B.

Humidity for reptiles

Providing a terrarium, vivarium or simple reptile enclosure that is healthy for reptile will need uv lighting, reptile heaters and humidity.
A humid enclosure will help the reptile with skin shedding and must be supplied for reptiles that have come from a tropical zone.

Reptile nesting box

A reptile nesting box is essential for providing a hide or escape for the reptile when it feels threatened or simply needs privacy. The nesting box for reptiles should be easy to clean and relocate.

Access into the nest box for reptiles will need to be slightly larger than the reptile. Humidity and heating will be present in the reptiles enclosure so a nesting box that will not rot in a humid environment and is self draining.

Shipping box for reptiles

Relocating small reptiles to another area is difficult without a proper shipping box.
The reptile transportation box will need to withstand the hard bumps that modern transportation can deliver.

Ventilated transport containers that are filtered and adjustable is required by some commercial carriers of pets.

Heating for the reptile transit box or container will help in keeping the reptile passive during transit. Warming the reptiles transport box or transit cage will also help the reptile to digest any food in its system.
